Wish You Were Here...Cath Kidston Workshop

Wish You Were Here...
Cath Kidston inspired Summer Workshop
Sunday, 17th February 2013
10am - 2pm

The Ministers at MOHE are back for a new year with a quartet of amazing and innovative workshops for the creatively challenged or lucky nimble fingered talented crafters. We kick off with a Cath Kidston inspired Summer themed workshop entitled...Wish You Were Here!

Wish You Were Here...
Using only the very best Australian made and owned products, Constituents will be making 3 cute projects to use, wear and add to their sewing baskets. If the last time you threaded a needle was in pig-tails and a pleated school skirt, then we are the couture craft group to break you back into all things creative!
No need to rush off to spotlight sourcing stuff, we provide everything you need from glue to needles in each of the three work-packs to create our couture, quirky and delightful products.

Project 1
This must have staple is buried in craft and sewing boxes around the world. We have created the cutest little holder for it inspired by an iconic Summer image...

Project 2
With Summer in full swing our feet are ready to hit the beach, but even a pedicure and polish don't quite add the glamour that this item will do. Without compromising the feel of sand between your toes, you'll be getting looks of envy as you parade the shore in this non-footwear pair...

Project 3
Beanies, pouches, socks, scarves, bunny ears and tail...is there no end to the ways we clothe our mobile phones nowadays? Inspired by a classic holiday tradition you will be making nothing quite so ordinary for your gadget...

Cath Kidston Shop
Following our recent visit to the UK, we packed our cases full of gorgeous Cath Kidston goodies to share with you for this one off workshop. All the items are available to purchase and exclusive to our Sunday workshop. You will love the selection from quirky pin cushions to cute tins.
In addition, the lovely Mark of Madame Fifi's has given us some gorgeous 1950's haberdashery items that are in keeping with Miss. Kidston's style to sell as well.
All profit from the Cath Kidston items and sales of the Madame Fifi's vintage products go towards Animals Australia.

The Ministers use only the very best quality materials for their projects, making sure they are made and manufactured in Australia, United Kingdom or Europe. Unlike other craft workshops our materials are NOT made in China and we strive to maintain an ethical integrity of only purchasing from countries that uphold both animal and human rights laws.

Venue
Since we last hosted an event on these sunny shores an awful lot has happened in the lives of the Ministers and as a result we have had to locate a venue a little closer to home. So that's good news for all those girls South of the Border but a little bit more of a trek for our Northern ladies. However, our new venue is just as gorgeous as the Sir Stanford at Circular Quay and comfort is still the keyword for the Minister's venue selection.
Located on the riverside at Woronora, Lemon Squeezy is a super venue with quirky interior, delicious and affordable menu and river views. Some Constituents may already be familiar with this venue if you have been following the before and after photos of the latest styling project on MOHE's Facebook page. Only a two minute drive from Jannali or Sutherland train station, the Minister of Manipulation can assist in collecting those without a car if needs be.
Lemon Squeezy is also a child friendly venue which allows you to bring your little ones and have a creative day out with the younger members of your family.

Bright 'n' Breezy at Lemon Squeezy

Please note, the workshop fee does NOT include food or drink, this is a separate purchase to be made directly through Lemon Squeezy. They have a great breakfast, lunch and specials menu, catering for all dietary requirements. If you have a particular intolerance, just give the venue a call and ask if they can adapt one of their dishes to suit.
